Movement and Mental Health

Let’s celebrate the start of April, a wonderful spring month full of promise of the year to come!

April is also a Stress Awareness Month. And since this decade – this year is no exception - keeps throwing curveballs at us, managing our stress levels is now more important than ever before. With the current world events, many of us don’t feel as safe anymore. Life has suddenly become more precarious, precious, uncertain. What can we do to keep ourselves well in this changing world?

This month, I am collaborating with the amazing Vanessa Junginger, owner of the Surrey Wellbeing Clinic, who brings us a wealth of knowledge of mental health and wellbeing.

Vanessa works as a hypnotherapist. Hypnosis is a a wonderfully non-invasive technique to work with the mind to begin one’s journey to better mental wellbeing. With this work, Vanessa is also able to provide her clients with the motivational tools to help them on their journey. Imagine how our life and health would improve when we have taken back control of our intents, both consciously and subconsciously?

Myself as a movement therapist, and Vanessa as a hypnotherapist, working together, we will explore the mind-body connection and share tips about the useful things to do to help you be your best self.

We are going to publish a series of posts throughout April talking about some key areas relevant to all. We are hoping these tips will be helpful for everyone, and particularly for ladies who are 40+, as we work with many wonderful women in this age group.

We will be talking about optimal weight, pelvic floor health, and strong bones.

Stay tuned for more updates throughout April from us!
