About the Event
Come and join us for the "Introduction to Hypopressives" for Pelvic floor health!
Hypopressives is an exercise and breathing workout that teaches us to reduce pressure in the body, specifically in the pelvic floor and abdomen areas.Â
This means reducing pressure to the pelvic floor area and the outward belly and giving our pelvic floor a chance to become more resilient. It can lift and lighten, allowing our internal organs to come into a better position. This is particularly helpful for symptoms of prolapse, incontinence and what is generally referred to as "pelvic floor weakness" - which can, in fact, be excessive tightness.Â
Hypopressives can also be helpful for addressing diastasis recti - separated tummy muscles, caused by less than optimal posture, breathing habits, and excessive pressure to the abdominal wall.Â
At the same time, whilst doing a specific type of breathing, we strengthen the body and improve posture by going through a sequence of postural exercises.
